Nail Polish Transformation Wands

So far I have managed to collect two loose Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars transformation wands, along with a boxed set of Venus and Jupiter transformation wands.

The gel-like nail polish in the Mars wand is completely dried up, and the brush is actually stuck inside the goop. Whereas the loose Venus wand's polish is still a liquid. A thick liquid, but a liquid none the less (lol).

I've been debating for a while, but I've finally decided I am going to remove the old gel and find a similar substitute. I'm worried that if I use water and food colouring it will tint the clear plastic over time. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should use that would be great!

I love these wands! I think they were very well made. The setting for the nail polish bottles are flawless, and they've never fallen out on me while moving the wands around. I really like the way they made it into such a versatile toy. You have the wand as a whole, or you can remove the bottle to paint your nails, or wear the ring around as a fashion statement. A lot of thought went into the design of these bad boys!

I'm hoping to one day find the boxed Mercury and Mars set in great condition, and a loose Jupiter and Mercury wand. I've seen them come up for sale a couple of times, but almost always parts of the emblems are scratched off *sigh*
